Larkana: In an important meeting held in Larkana, Mr. Abid Lashari, President of the National Disability and Development Forum (NDF) Pakistan, met with Mr. Abdul Qudoos Memon, Regional Director of the Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities (DEPD), Larkana.

The discussion focused on the urgent need for assistive devices to support people with disabilities in the region. During the meeting, Mr. Lashari emphasized the critical role that assistive devices play in enhancing the mobility and independence of people with disabilities.

He highlighted the growing demand for these devices across the Sindh province, stressing that without proper access to assistive technologies, many individuals face challenges in leading independent and fulfilling lives.

Mr. Abdul Qudoos Memon assured his commitment to addressing this issue and discussed potential strategies to improve the availability of assistive devices for people with disabilities in Larkana and surrounding areas with the possible collaboration of DEPD Department Government of Sindh.

Both parties agreed on the importance of collaborative efforts to ensure that the needs of people with disabilities are met, particularly in rural and underprivileged areas. Mr. Lashari expressed his hope for a strengthened partnership between NDF Pakistan and the DEPD to better serve the disabled community, not just in Larkana, but across Sindh.
