Karachi: The National Disability & Development Forum (NDF) Pakistan has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Dr. Prem Kumar Sital Das Memorial Trust to establish a Rehabilitation Center for children with disabilities and an Old Age Home for senior citizens in Prem Nagar, Islamkot, Tharparkar.
The MoU was signed by Mr. Abid Lashari, President of NDF Pakistan, and MNA Dr. Ramesh Kumar, Chairman of the Dr. Prem Kumar Sital Das Memorial Trust, at the Pakistan Hindu Council, Karachi.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Abid Lashari expressed his gratitude, calling it a great honor and a significant opportunity for NDF to serve the people of Tharparkar. “Children with disabilities require attention everywhere, but Thar, in particular, needs special care and support,” he emphasized.
MNA Dr. Ramesh Kumar highlighted NDF’s expertise in working with children with disabilities, stating, “NDF is a leading organization in this field, and we are pleased to collaborate with them to provide much-needed services for children with disabilities in Thar.”
He also reaffirmed his commitment to continuing support for NDF’s initiatives. This partnership marks a major step in bringing essential rehabilitation services to one of the most underserved regions of Pakistan, ensuring that both children with disabilities and senior citizens receive the care and support they deserve.
