Hyderabad: Renowned social activist Mr. Anwar Ali Sial visited the DEPD-NDF Rehabilitation Center Qasimabad Hyderabad, which is joint initiative of National Disability & Development Forum (NDF) and Department of Empowerment of persons with disabilities (DEPD) Government of Sindh. During his visit, Haji Abid Lashari, President of NDF Pakistan, welcomed him and briefed him about the range of free rehabilitation services being provided to children with intellectual disabilities like Down Syndrome, Autism, ADHD, CP and Dyslexia.
Haji Abid Lashari explained that the center offers Physiotherapy, Occupational therapy, Speech therapy, Psychotherapy, and other essential interventions — all completely free of cost to the families.
Impressed by the services, Mr. Anwar Ali Sial remarked, “This rehabilitation unit is a true blessing for the people of Hyderabad. The work being done here is commendable and life-changing for the children and their families.”
Haji Abid Lashari acknowledged the unwavering support of the Government of Sindh in making this center a reality. “This facility exists due to the sincere efforts and full financial support of the Government of Sindh. All services are fully funded to ensure quality care without any burden on the families,” he added.
The NDF Rehabilitation Center continues to serve as a beacon of hope for children with intellectual disabilities, aiming to promote inclusion and improve quality of life through sustained support. Mr. Jawaid Ali Unar, Engineer Mumtaz Ali Lashari, NDF Manager Ms. Rida Fatima Sahito and others were also present during the visit.
