NDF Pakistan Becomes Member of International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN)

Nawabshah: The National Disability & Development Forum (NDF) Pakistan proudly announces its membership with the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN), the world’s largest and most diverse environmental network.

With this milestone, NDF Pakistan joins a global community of governments, civil society organizations, scientists, and experts working together to promote sustainable development, conserve nature, and address the urgent challenges of climate change.

Speaking on the occasion, Abid Lashari, President of NDF Pakistan, said that this achievement reflects NDF’s growing commitment to environmental sustainability alongside our mission of disability rights and inclusive development. By becoming part of IUCN, we will expand our role in advocating for a greener, more inclusive, and climate-resilient Pakistan. NDF Pakistan has been working in coastal areas Keti Bandar and Jati for the empowerment and develop of fisherfolk communities with collaboration of IUCN Pakistan. NDF has been working for the empowerment and inclusion of persons with disabilities, operating rehabilitation centers across Sindh with collaboration of DEPD Government of Sindh and promoting community resilience in disaster and climate-affected areas. Its membership in IUCN strengthens its vision of connecting social inclusion with environmental sustainability, ensuring that people with disabilities are not left behind in global and national climate action.
