Ongoing Projects of NDF

The National Disability & Development Forum (NDF) Pakistan has a rich history of implementing impactful projects aimed at improving the lives of marginalized communities, particularly persons with disabilities. 2019 – Inclusive Education for Children with Disabilities

Description: This project provides access to quality education for children with disabilities through inclusive classroom settings, assistive technologies, and teacher training.
Focus: Advocating for inclusive policies in education and fostering partnerships with schools.

2020 – Livelihood Support for Persons with Disabilities

Description: Through skill-building workshops and micro-financing, NDF equips persons with disabilities with the tools to achieve economic independence.
Focus: Economic empowerment and sustainability for vulnerable groups.

2021 – Disaster Management & Disability Inclusion

Description: This initiative ensures disaster response strategies are inclusive of persons with disabilities by developing accessible disaster relief centers and training first responders.

2022 – Pakistan Floods Response: Disability-Inclusive Approach

Description: In the aftermath of the 2022 floods, this project addressed the unique needs of persons with disabilities, offering medical aid, shelter, and counseling.

2023 – Advocacy for Women with Disabilities

Description: Empowering women with disabilities through leadership training, community building, and legal advocacy to fight gender-based violence and discrimination.

2025 – Political Participation for Persons with Disabilities

Description: This initiative enables persons with disabilities to engage in local governance through advocacy, training, and accessibility enhancements at polling stations.

Completed Projects of NDF

2019 – Accessible Mobility Initiative

Description: This project provided wheelchairs, prosthetics, and other mobility aids to over 500 persons with disabilities, enabling greater independence.
Focus: Mobility enhancement for improved quality of life.

2020 – Awareness Campaign on Disability Rights

Description: A nationwide campaign using media and community workshops to spread awareness about disability rights and inclusion.
