KARACHI: Hussain Jarwar, CEO of Indus Consortium, Islamabad visited the NDF Rehabilitation Center in Gulistan-e-Johar, Karachi, where he was briefed by Abid Lashari, President of NDF Pakistan, about the center’s free rehabilitation services for children with intellectual disabilities.
These services, including physiotherapy, speech therapy, occupational therapy, psychotherapy, and remedial therapy, are provided in collaboration with the Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities (DEPD), Government of Sindh.

During the visit, Mr. Hussain Jarwar commended NDF Pakistan for its dedicated efforts in supporting children with Down syndrome, autism, cerebral palsy (CP), and other disabilities in both urban in Gulistan e Johar and rural areas even in Nawabshah and larkana respectively in Sindh.
He emphasized the need for international organizations, corporate entities, and individual philanthropists to contribute to this noble cause, ensuring the sustainability and expansion of these essential services.
Recognizing NDF Pakistan as an active member of the Indus Consortium, Mr. Jarwar assured his full support, including potential technical assistance, to further strengthen NDF’s initiatives. In response, Abid Lashari expressed gratitude to Mr. Jarwar and his team for their continued encouragement.
He also acknowledged the significant contributions of the Department of Empowerment of persons with Disabilities (DEPD), Government of Sindh, and stressed the importance of corporate sector support in Karachi for enhancing rehabilitation services.
NDF Pakistan remains committed to empowering children with disabilities, ensuring their inclusion and access to quality therapy and support systems across Sindh.
