Nawabshah (Press Release) – Chairman of the Sindh Human Rights Commission, Iqbal Ahmed Detho, along with Additional Commissioner Ammar Hussain, visited the NDF Rehabilitation Center in Nawabshah, where they reviewed the various facilities provided for disabled children.

During the visit, the Program Manager of NDF, Tariq Hussain Channar, gave a detailed briefing on the services offered at the center, including physiotherapy, psychotherapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, and early childhood education (ECE).Iqbal Ahmed Detho remarked that the rehabilitation of disabled children in Sindh is a major challenge, and the joint efforts of the Sindh government’s DPEPD department and NDF are commendable.

He further emphasized that disabled individuals are not different; they are equal members of our society. While complete treatment for disability may not be possible, it can be effectively managed through continuous rehabilitation efforts. He stated that the rehabilitation of mental disabilities is not just about therapy, but providing these children with an opportunity to live a dignified life, and NDF is doing this work admirably.

He appealed to both the government and the private sector to collaborate through practical planning to address the challenges faced by children with mental disabilities and their families. Only through such joint efforts can we move forward. Chairman Iqbal Ahmed Detho expressed his happiness about visiting the center and meeting with the special children. On this occasion, NDF presented honorary shields and other gifts to the guests.
