NDF conducts a 03 day training workshop on climate change and SRHR in Sanghar

SANGHAR: NDF Sanghar in collaboration with Pathfinder International, conducted the second workshop of a comprehensive training program for women on climate change and Sexual, Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR) was successfully organized in Sanghar. The objective of the 03-day training workshop is to empower women by equipping them with the necessary knowledge and skills to take action to solve their pressing problems.

On this occasion, speakers Mr. Sikandar Ali Babbar Program Manager Pathfinder International, Mr. Tariq Hussain Channar Program Manager NDF, Mr. Muhammad Ashraf Soomro and others said that the topics of the training workshop were to create awareness about the effects of climate change on the local population and the participants designed to educate on sustainable practices that minimize the effects of environmental degradation.

The importance of SRHR was also emphasized during the training, aiming to provide attendees with important information on reproductive health, family planning, and gender-sensitive approaches to health care.

The speakers further highlighted the importance of empowering women in rural areas and said, “Women play an important role in the survival and sustainability of the community against the effects of climate change.” By increasing their knowledge about environmental sustainability and reproductive health, we can promote cooperation between strong and healthy societies.

The speakers further said that tree planting is a basic step to counter the climate change effects but the take-care of trees is a crucial step to increase the growth of trees. In the end, training certificates were also distributed among the participants.
