Hyderabad: The National Disability & Development Forum (NDF) Pakistan, in collaboration with the Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities (DEPD), Government of Sindh, has launched a new rehabilitation unit in Qasimabad, Hyderabad. This unit aims to provide free rehabilitation services to children with intellectual and developmental disabilities.




The center offers a wide range of therapies, including physiotherapy, speech therapy, psychotherapy, and occupational therapy, tailored to the needs of children with Down syndrome, autism, ADHD, cerebral palsy (CP), and other related conditions.
Speaking at the occasion, Haji Abid Lashari, President NDF Pakistan, stated, “This facility is a god-gifted opportunity for the families of Qasimabad Hyderabad and adjoining areas. It will play a vital role in mainstreaming children with intellectual disabilities through quality, inclusive rehabilitation services.”
This initiative reflects the continued commitment of the NDF and the DEPD Department of the Government of Sindh to promote disability rights, access to healthcare, and inclusive development in the underserved areas of Sindh.
