Karachi: Abid Lashari, a dedicated disability rights activist and President of the National Disability & Development Forum (NDF) Pakistan, departed for Madina with his family to perform Umrah for the first time. The family boarded their flight from Jinnah International Airport, Karachi, filled with excitement and gratitude for this spiritual journey.
Lashari, who has been a tireless advocate for the rights and inclusion of persons with disabilities across Sindh and Pakistan, expressed deep joy and anticipation as he embarked on this sacred pilgrimage.
“This is a very special moment for me and my family,” Lashari shared before his departure. “I am grateful for the opportunity to perform Umrah and pray for the well-being of my community and continued progress for persons with disabilities.” The NDF team and community members including Tariq Hussain Channar, Mustafa Zaur, Manthar Ali Magsi, Haseeb Kiyani, Faisal Malik, Asma Munir, Ali Raza Abro, Jumo Khan Jamali, Dilmurad Mari, Nisar Dinari, Asadullah Channar, Rafaqat Arain, Aisha Ghani Waghan.
