Nawabshah: President of the National Disability & Development Forum (NDF), Mr. Abid Lashari, met with the newly posted Deputy Commissioner (DC) of Shaheed Benazir Abad, Mr. Abdul Samad Nizamani, at his office today. Mr. Lashari presented Bucket of flower to the newly posted Deputy Commissioner Shaheed Benazir Abad.
During the meeting, Mr. Lashari briefed the DC on NDF’s ongoing services for persons with disabilities, particularly highlighting the free rehabilitation services provided at the NDF Rehabilitation Center Nawabshah, supported by the Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities (DEPD), Government of Sindh.
Mr. Lashari also emphasized the urgent need for the implementation of the 5% reserved job quota for persons with disabilities in both the public and private sectors, urging authorities to ensure it is enforced in both letter and spirit.
DC Abdul Samad Nizamani appreciated NDF’s commendable work and assured his support for the inclusion and empowerment of persons with disabilities across the district.
