Nawabshah: The National Disability & Development Forum (NDF) Pakistan, in collaboration with Iltizam Relief Society Malaysia, has successfully completed and inaugurated a clean water project at Village Gupchani, District Shaheed Benazirabad.
The project was a long-standing need of the community, as villagers previously faced severe hardship in accessing clean drinking water. Residents, especially women, had to fetch water from a distance of nearly two kilometers—often carrying it on their heads or transporting it via motorbikes and donkey carts.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by Mr. Tariq Hussain Channar, Program Manager NDF, and Mr. Shahrul Azromi, Project Manager Iltizam Relief Society Malaysia, who joined the event online along with other honorable guests. They expressed hope that the newly established water facility would be sustained and maintained effectively by the village committee.
The local community expressed their heartfelt gratitude to Mr. Mohammad Shah, CEO of Iltizam Relief Society Malaysia, and Mr. Abid Lashari, President of NDF Pakistan, for their joint efforts in bringing clean and sweet drinking water to the doorsteps of Gupchani’s residents.
