President Abid Ali Lashari held an important meeting with Provincial Education Minister Syed Sardar Ali Shah on the matter of Khadija Nusrat Memon, a disabled college education employee who committed suicide, to conduct a transparent investigation on the matter.
On this occasion, Syed Sardar Ali Shah, called the head of the inquiry commission, Regional Director of College Education, Hyderabad Mirchand Oad, and asked for details on the girl’s suicide case. He told that an investigation is going on in this regard, an employee a clerk of Girls College Hala has been suspended in the first stage.
Soon the inquiry will be completed and a report will be submitted. Mr. Sardar Shah asked the commission an inquiry should be made transparent and it should be ensured that no employee working in the education department is disturbed, if any incident of injustice against a disabled employee is found anywhere in the province in the future, strict action will be taken.
National Disability and Development Forum Pakistan President Abid Lashari thanked Provincial Minister Syed Sardar Ali Shah for taking notice of the matter and ensuring a clear and transparent inquiry process and appealed for creating facilities and reasonable accommodation to facilitate the disabled employees during their in Sindh.
